President Taft appoints Friench Simpson as "Passed Assistant Surgeon, to rank as such from October 6, 1910, in the Public Health and Marine Hospital Service of the United States." Neatly signed at the conclusion in ink by President William H. Taft and countersigned by Secretary of the Treasury Franklin MacVeagh. In very good to fine condition, with staining along the left side.
