DS, signed "Marion M. Morrison," two pages, 8.5 x 11, January 5, 1951. Official letter from John Wayne to RKO Pictures concerning a promissory note in the amount of $120,000, which reads, in part, "You have waived, and hereby waive, interest on said promissory note for the period from December 13, 1950 to and including December 18, 1950…We have authorized and directed you…to deduct the sum of One Hundred Fifty Dollars…a week from the compensation of Mr. Morrison (John Wayne)." Signed at the conclusion in blue ballpoint by Wayne with his given name, and countersigned by his second wife, Esperanza Baur. In fine condition.
